Friends and family established The Karen Wellington Memorial Foundation for LIVING with Breast Cancer in 2007 to honor Karen’s life and to share her legacy of living life to the fullest, each and every day. Your contribution will primarily be targeted at quality of life issues and helping others LIVE more fully with breast cancer. As Karen did. Karen’s foundation focuses on those healthy body parts. Livewear–sale of "not a wifebeater" tanks: Liveawear is a nonprofit organization founded in 2005. It is dedicated to inspiring activism and building awareness to prevent partner abuse. Partner violence is a leading cause of death for women in the United States. Each day three women are killed by their intimate partners. The liveawear "not a wifebeater" campaign has set out to remove the term "wifebeater" from the fashion vernacular when referring to a tank top. A "wifebeater" is a person who physically and emotionally abuses his or her partner, not a tank top.

In this campaign, liveawear has teamed up with Splendid to help launch and promote this powerful fashion statement. The campaign's mission is to raise awareness about relationship abuse, and return the term "wifebeater" to its true meaning.
